What does donkey milk contain?

Donkey milk naturally contains protein, fat and milk sugar as well as vitamins and minerals, and can be part of a varied diet.

Depending on origin and processing, the price is usually between €50 and €200 per litre.

How do different types of milk compare?

That depends on the nutrient. Every type of milk has its own composition – you can find the nutritional values of our donkey milk on the label.

Where does donkey milk come from?

Our donkey milk comes from jennies, is milked by hand and produced by small, selected farms in Germany and neighbouring European countries, where the donkeys live with access to pasture.

How much does a donkey cost per month?

With feed, vet and care, costs come to around €150–300 per month.

What are the downsides of keeping a donkey?

Donkeys are sensitive, need a lot of care and give little milk – which makes keeping them economically demanding.

Has donkey milk been scientifically studied?

Yes. Donkey milk has been the subject of various scientific studies, for example on its protein composition and its lysozyme content.

What delivery options are there?

We offer two flexible shipping methods so that your order reaches you safely and fresh:

GO! Express – frozen express delivery

  • Germany: delivery within max. 24 hours of dispatch, with tracking.
  • International: delivery within max. 48 hours of dispatch, with tracking.

DHL – cost-effective chilled shipping

  • Germany: delivery in 2–4 working days after dispatch, with tracking.
  • International: delivery in 3–7 working days after dispatch, with tracking.

How is the donkey milk kept fresh in transit?

Whichever shipping method you choose – your donkey milk is packed in insulated polystyrene boxes with ice or dry ice. This keeps it chilled in transit.

Please note: with DHL shipping, we cannot guarantee that it arrives frozen, as the transit time is longer. The milk will still reach you chilled and fresh.

When will my order be shipped?

We ship every Monday and Wednesday.

All orders received by 12:00 on a shipping day are processed and shipped the same day.

Are there tips for saving money for customers from Switzerland and Austria?

Yes! You can save on shipping costs by ordering larger quantities and benefiting from our free shipping.

How can I change or cancel my order?

We reserve the right to accept or decline an order, or any part of it, at our discretion at any time after receiving it, even after the customer has received an order confirmation or after the credit card has been authorised. If the credit card has already been authorised for the purchase and the order is cancelled, a credit will be issued to the original payment method.

>> Please note that orders that have already been packed or shipped cannot be cancelled.

Can I change my delivery address after ordering?

Please note that your delivery address cannot be changed once the order has been processed or shipped. Please use your home address rather than your work address as the delivery address, as we do not know how long customs at the destination will hold the parcel.

How secure is my online order?

When you shop online with your credit card, all your details are entered on a secure SSL website. Your information is then SSL-encrypted and sent directly to our credit card provider's network, where your card and your transaction are authorised and approved. Your credit card information is not stored on our servers.

Do I need an account to order?

No, you can also place an order as a guest. But there are some advantages to having an account with us:

Can I return my items?

As a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal in accordance with our cancellation policy. Please note: under Section 312g(2) No. 2 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no right of withdrawal for goods that can spoil quickly – for example fresh or frozen donkey milk and donkey milk cheese. You can find all details in the cancellation policy.

My item is faulty – what now?

If you notice any defects in product quality, please contact us as soon as possible. The statutory warranty rights apply.

Who pays the return shipping costs?

As a rule, the buyer pays the return shipping costs, unless the item is defective or has a manufacturing fault.
