1. Access data and hosting
You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Each time a page is accessed, the web server automatically stores only a so-called server log file, which contains e.g. the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the access. This access data is evaluated exclusively for the purpose of ensuring trouble-free operation of the site and improving our offer. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the correct presentation of our offer, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. All access data is deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit.
Content Delivery Network
To shorten loading times, we use a so-called content delivery network (“CDN”) for some offers. With this service, content such as large media files is delivered via regionally distributed servers of external CDN service providers. Access data is therefore processed on the servers of the service providers. Our service providers act on our behalf as processors. Our service providers are located in and/or use servers in countries outside the EU and the EEA. There is no adequacy decision of the European Commission for these countries. Our cooperation with them is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission. If you have questions about our service providers and the basis of our cooperation with them, please use the contact option described in this privacy policy.

To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use technologies including so-called cookies on various pages. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies).
We use technologies that are strictly necessary for the use of certain functions of our website (e.g. shopping cart function). These technologies collect and process the IP address, time of visit, device and browser information and information about your use of our website (e.g. information on the contents of the shopping cart). This serves to protect our legitimate interests in an optimised presentation of our offer, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
We also use technologies to fulfil the legal obligations to which we are subject (e.g. to be able to prove consent to the processing of your personal data) as well as for web analysis and online marketing. Further information on this, including the respective legal basis for data processing, can be found in the following sections of this privacy policy.

7. Use of cookies and other technologies for web analysis and advertising
Insofar as you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, we use the following cookies and other technologies from third-party providers on our website. 7.1 Use of Google services for web analysis and advertising
We use the technologies of Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”) described below. The information automatically collected by the Google technologies about your use of our website is usually transferred to a server of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA and stored there. There is no adequacy decision of the European Commission for the USA. Our cooperation with them is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission. If your IP address is collected via the Google technologies, it is shortened by activating IP anonymisation before being stored on Google's servers. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server and shortened there. Unless otherwise stated for the individual technologies, data processing is based on an agreement between joint controllers concluded for the respective technology in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. Further information on data processing by Google can be found in Google's privacy notice.
Google Analytics
For the purpose of website analysis, Google Analytics automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information and information about your use of our website), from which user profiles are created using pseudonyms. Cookies may be used for this purpose. Your IP address is generally not merged with other Google data. Data processing is based on a data processing agreement with Google.
Google Ads
For advertising purposes in Google search results and on third-party websites, the so-called Google remarketing cookie is set when you visit our website, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by collecting and processing data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information and information about your use of our website) by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and on the basis of the pages you have visited. Any further data processing only takes place if you have activated the “personalised advertising” setting in your Google account. If, in this case, you are logged in to Google while visiting our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing.
For web analysis and event tracking, we use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure your subsequent usage behaviour if you have come to our website via a Google Ads advertisement. For this purpose, cookies may be used and data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information and information about your use of our website based on events specified by us, such as visiting a page or subscribing to the newsletter) may be collected, from which user profiles are created using pseudonyms.
7.2 Use of Facebook services for web analysis and advertising
Use of the Facebook Pixel
We use the Facebook Pixel as part of the technologies of Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”) described below. The Facebook Pixel automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information and information about your use of our website based on events specified by us, such as visiting a page or subscribing to the newsletter), from which user profiles are created using pseudonyms. As part of so-called advanced matching, information that can be used to identify individuals (e.g. names, email addresses and telephone numbers) is also collected and stored in hashed form for matching purposes. For this purpose, the Facebook Pixel automatically sets a cookie when you visit our website, which automatically enables your browser to be recognised by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID when you visit other websites. Facebook will combine this information with other data from your Facebook account and use it to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website use, in particular personalised and group-based advertising.
The information automatically collected by the Facebook technologies about your use of our website is usually transferred to a server of Facebook, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA and stored there. There is no adequacy decision of the European Commission for the USA. Insofar as the data transfer to the USA falls within our responsibility, our cooperation is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission. Further information on data processing by Facebook can be found in Facebook's privacy notice.
Facebook Analytics
Facebook Ads
As part of Facebook Analytics, statistics on visitor activity on our website are created from the data collected with the Facebook Pixel about your use of our website. Data processing is based on a data processing agreement with Facebook. Its analysis serves the optimal presentation and marketing of our website.
Via Facebook Ads, we advertise this website on Facebook and on other platforms. We determine the parameters of the respective advertising campaign. Facebook is responsible for the exact implementation, in particular the decision on placing the ads with individual users. Unless otherwise stated for the individual technologies, data processing is based on an agreement between joint controllers in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. The joint responsibility is limited to the collection of the data and its transfer to Facebook Ireland. The subsequent data processing by Facebook Ireland is not covered by this.
On the basis of the statistics on visitor activity on our website created via the Facebook Pixel, we run group-based advertising on Facebook via Facebook Custom Audience by defining the characteristics of the respective target group. In the context of the advanced matching carried out to determine the respective target group (see above), Facebook acts as our processor.
On the basis of the pseudonymous cookie ID set by the Facebook Pixel and the data collected about your usage behaviour on our website, we run personalised advertising via Facebook Pixel remarketing.
Via Facebook Pixel conversions we measure your subsequent usage behaviour for web analysis and event tracking if you have come to our website via a Facebook Ads advertisement. Data processing is based on a data processing agreement with Facebook.

8.1 Social plugins from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest
Social buttons of social networks are used on our website. These are only integrated into the page as HTML links, so that no connection to the servers of the respective provider is established when you access our website. If you click on one of the buttons, the website of the respective social network opens in a new window of your browser, where you can, for example, press the like or share button.
8.2 Our online presence on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn
